Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment, requiring 1+ year of experience and a VA PT license (pending acceptable).

Details

  • Home Health setting providing physical therapy treatment for patients with injuries or muscle, nerve, joint, and bone diseases
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Weekend coverage required approximately every 4th or 5th weekend for orthopedic cases only
  • Caseload of 6 to 7 weighted visits per day
  • Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required; Home Health experience preferred
  • VA PT state license required (license required if applicable), pending license accepted
  • CPR certification required
  • MatrixCare or Epic experience preferred but not required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include providing patient and caregiver education, participating in discharge planning, and completing required documentation
  • Duties include directing patient participation in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance
  • Open to first-time travelers
  • Facility will not consider candidates with any prior license or background hits
  • Facility cannot accommodate PAPR fit testing devices
  • EKG/telemetry testing not required for this Home Health position
