Job Details:
Position: Home Healthcare RN
Shift: Days, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility depending on census
Schedule: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Start Date: 08/24/2026
Contract Duration: 5 weeks
Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 40 hours, with potential for low census unbillable hours and travel during some shifts
Location: Wausau, WI, 54401
Required Qualifications: Active Wisconsin or Compact licensed Registered Nurse (RN), BLS certification from AHA or ARC, Valid Driver's license, at least 2+ years of home health nursing experience including travel experience, Oasis certification (preferred), experience with Epic Remote Client/Remote Care, and charting in electronic medical record systems.
Clinical Responsibilities: Oasis admissions and documentation at all points, episode management, physician communication and coordination of care, wound care, IV therapy, ports, lab draws, and chronic disease management.
Patient Caseload: 20-25 patients per day, averaging 4.5 visits per day, with travel distances ranging from 25 to 60 miles depending on territory and patient census.
Team and Operational Details: Flexibility to cover potential additional territories such as Medford or Wisconsin Rapids; potential for on-call during unbillable low census hours, with callback pay when called back; adherence to flu and COVID vaccine policies requiring masks during flu season.
Physical Requirements: Dependable, resilient, equipped to manage change, social, compassionate, and positive attitude.
