Job Summary: RN (Registered Nurse) specializing in Home Health Care is sought for a position in Portland, Maine. The role involves providing comprehensive home health services to adult patients with diverse medical needs. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, delivering patient-centered care in a community setting.
Job Details:
Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, at least 2 years of nursing experience, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, proficiency with Epic and OASIS electronic health records, and experience in home health care.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IV therapy, tube feeds, VAC dressings, compression wraps, port access, ostomies, chest tubes, urinary catheters, LAD draws, and managing adult med-surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary patients.
Call Requirements: No overnight call; callback 2-4 times monthly between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Equipment Provided: Agency laptop, iPhone with case and chargers, nursing supply bin, vital signs equipment, INR machine, and agency bag; all must be returned upon departure.
Patient Ratios: Manage 20-25 patients with approximately 5-6 visits daily; may include revisits based on agency needs.
Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs, any color; no jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes.
Personality Fit: Organized, collaborative, strong communicator, good at time management and documentation, receptive to feedback.
