Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with OASIS-E and HCHB Pointcare EMR experience for a day-shift assignment covering Montgomery, Prince George's, Charles, and St. Mary's counties in Maryland.
Details
- Home health setting providing in-home patient care across an assigned zip code coverage area
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Visit-based productivity expectations averaging 6 points per day (30 points/week), typically 3 to 6 visits per day
- May be required to float to cover other zip codes within the coverage area based on staffing needs and patient demand
- Requires use of a personal vehicle for daily patient visits
Requirements
- Active MD RN license or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience within the last 7 years, with home health experience preferred
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Required experience with OASIS-E and Homecare Homebase (HCHB) Pointcare EMR
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the past 3 years
- Must maintain a reliable personal vehicle with valid licensure and insurance
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include admission assessments, case management, medication administration, wound care, and IV/central line management
- Additional skills may include ostomy care, catheter management, chest tube care, and oxygen administration depending on patient needs
- Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Candidates residing within 60 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower pay rate
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one completed travel assignment is required
