Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with HCHB and OASIS experience for a geriatric caseload requiring on-call and weekend rotation.

Details

• Home health setting covering the Tomahawk/Brantwood territory
• Adult geriatric patient population
• Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR system
• On-call required 5 PM to 8 AM, one week per week night shift, with additional coverage if assigned the weekend shift
• Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend from 5 PM Friday to 8 AM Monday
• Guaranteed hours voided during branch closure holiday weeks
• Traveler must be flexible with territory coverage

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required, in hand prior to consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required
• OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care (SOC) documentation
• Proficiency in HCHB charting system required
• Active driver's license and personal transportation required
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role
• Former Compassus employees must be separated for a minimum of 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
• Wound care, integumentary care, and medication administration/management including IM, IV, and subcutaneous routes
• Pain assessment and management using verbal and nonverbal pain scales
• Phlebotomy skills and IV starting/maintenance required
• Infection control precautions must be followed
• Timely documentation and communication are mandatory
• Local candidates accepted
• Housing options available in Rhinelander City
• Scrubs required in any color, no jeans permitted
• Cell phone use not permitted; iPad provided for work purposes
• Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
• Orientation begins on Mondays and includes completion of required training modules
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application
• Travel pairs accepted, though each traveler is assigned an individual territory and must have their own transportation
