Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Community Health RN for a Home Health assignment requiring MA licensure, certified home health experience, and OASIS proficiency.

Details

• Home health setting providing community-based nursing care to sick and injured patients in their homes
• Days shift, 8 hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM), 40 hours per week
• Required to work every third weekend and 1-2 holidays as needed
• On-call responsibilities may be required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand prior to consideration; compact license not accepted
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum one year of acute nursing care experience required; hospital-based experience preferred
• Certified Home Health experience required, including proficiency with OASIS
• Infusion therapy certification preferred
• BSN highly preferred
• Current driver's license and insurance required
• Must have own vehicle for home visits
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as a clinician with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of home care reimbursement and regulatory guidelines required

Additional Information

• Provide, teach, supervise, and document nursing care for patients in the home setting
• Promote, maintain, or restore health, prevent illness, and support rehabilitation
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community representatives to coordinate care
• Evaluate patient and family response to interventions
• Requires strong time management, communication, delegation, and critical thinking skills
• Must maintain emotional stability in emergency situations
• Ability to drive in inclement weather required
• Must be able to pass a fit test using an N95 mask; PAPRs not available for home health use
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted for the duration of the assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
