Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• ICU float pool position covering MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• No call requirement
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CCRN and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal replacement therapy preferred
• Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, and neurosurgical post-op care preferred
• Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, and post cardiac surgery care preferred
• Two recent manager references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
• Floating required to all ICU units including MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Strict maximum of 5 days RTO
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and eligible at the local rate
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
