Nursing Coordinator

Job Summary

The Nursing Coordinator delivers comprehensive nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of various levels of nursing staff, as well as coordinating care with other disciplines. The Nursing Coordinator utilizes critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in providing optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordinated nursing care to assigned patients following established standards of care.
• Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff at various levels, ensuring quality care delivery.
• Collaborate and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Utilize critical thinking and professional judgment to make independent clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and care plans.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Previous nursing experience, including supervisory or leadership roles.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
