Job Summary ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in Corpus Christi, TX. This position involves providing critical care in a busy ICU unit, with a focus on patient safety, clinical best practices, and exceptional patient outcomes. Job Details
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting 09/28/2026 and ending 12/28/2026
Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); Bachelors Degree in Nursing or equivalent certification; licensed as an RN in Texas; no minimum years of experience required
Responsibilities include managing critical care patients, operating vents, swans, Impella devices, balloon pumps, and performing procedures such as intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, Swan Pacers, Bolts
Patient ratios typically 1:1 or 1:2
Unit information: 24-bed ICU, with approximately 50 staff members, including RNs, CNAs, sitters, and staff on call rotations, providing a rigorous and collaborative care environment
Equipment used includes vents, swans, Impella devices, and balloon pumps
The unit requires excellent customer service skills and adherence to its policies, including scrub attire in royal blue
The candidate must be flexible to potentially be placed on call for scheduled shifts, including every other weekend
