Job Summary: The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) specialty position is located in a medical-surgical intensive care setting. The role involves providing high-level patient care for adult and geriatric patients, utilizing advanced skills and certifications. This position requires a focus on critical patient management, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and specialized procedures.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The assignment is expected to start on 10/06/2026 and end on 01/05/2027.
Required Qualifications: Certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support); 2 years of ICU experience; Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation), and ICU-specific skills; Epic charting system experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, travel experience, trauma level I or II experience, LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience.
Additional Information: The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume medical-surgical ICU with a daily census of approximately 14 patients. The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and radiology. Compliance rules for travel positions apply; candidates must have valid state or compact licenses in hand and meet onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing.
