ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Akron, Ohio.

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, working three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday off, as well as designated Fridays and Mondays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and nursing standards. Embracing the company’s core values, the RN will prioritize patient and employee safety, demonstrating awareness of safety practices and adhering to guidelines on personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Identify patient and family teaching needs based on nursing assessments and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
  • Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, ensuring a focus on education and quality outcomes.
  • Initiate discharge planning upon admission and begin patient teaching in preparation for discharge.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and safety.
  • Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
  • Maintain a positive and efficient work environment through teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assume charge responsibilities as requested after completion of the orientation period.
  • Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Current RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to the first shift.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY).
  • Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
