Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is needed at a healthcare organization located in Dallas, Texas. The position involves providing comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including titrating drips, ventilator management, and other advanced procedures. The role requires strong ICU experience and excellent patient care skills to support patients with complex medical needs.
Job Details:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications; strong ICU experience including titrating drips; candidates with transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) or CRRT experience are preferred; at least 3 years of relevant experience; location in Dallas, TX; minimum of 0 years of additional experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CRRT and transplant procedures; compassionate personality, good rapport with physicians, and ability to work well with others are highly valued
- Additional Information: The unit is an Oncology ICU with 10 beds, staffed by a team of 4 nurses per shift, with patient ratios of 2:1. Equipment used includes ventilators, CRRT, A-line, Bipap, Flow-track, and IV pumps. EMR system used is Meditech. Report times are at 6:45 AM and 6:45 PM, with clock-in/out for lunch. This position involves total care of critically ill patients, including turning, dressing changes, trach care, and titrating drips. Rotating weekends are required.
