Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Rome, Georgia. This facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center with a high volume of complex cases including stroke, trauma, cardiac, and respiratory conditions. The role involves providing critical patient care across various specialized units, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety to support diverse patient diagnoses and acuity levels.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 09/08/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Georgia RN license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, 2 years of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing, valid drivers license, and healthcare provider liability insurance
  • Preferred Qualifications: TNCC certification, CCRN and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Float: Float rotation may be required in all med surg and critical care areas, including emergency department boarders
  • Additional Information:
    • The facility emphasizes teamwork, communication, quick response to call lights and rovers, and a focus on telemetry.
    • Orientation includes a week of facility-specific training followed by 2-3 days on the unit.
    • Staffing ratios are 1:2 during day and night shifts, with flexibility depending on patient acuity.
    • Support staff includes CNA/nurse techs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, and others to facilitate patient care.
    • Equipment used includes EPIC electronic health record, cardiac monitors, glucommander, ventilators, Alaris pumps, and virtual RN/observer support.
