Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of hospital ICU experience and a KY or compact RN license, with night shift scheduling.

Details

• 10-bed ICU unit with patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1
• Unit staffed by Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
• Utilizes Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with every other weekend required
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED
• Performs telemetry monitoring, physician-led paracentesis, BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing (KY or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current NIH Stroke Certification required, recertified annually
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting required
• Skills in CPAP/BiPap management, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy requested
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilators
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
