Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) position emphasizes patient and employee safety, aligning with the core values of providing superior quality care. The RN will be responsible for conducting assessments, creating individualized care plans, and participating in the rehabilitation program while promoting a focus on safety within a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
- Identify educational needs and goals based on assessments and collaborate with patients and families.
- Document all patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
- Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
- Communicate significant changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary team.
- Supervise and provide training to ancillary nursing personnel effectively.
- Contribute positively to the unit environment by supporting team-building activities.
- Identify personal and environmental safety for patients and staff in accordance with policies.
- Assume charge responsibilities and support team functions as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required prior to first shift.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
