Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in Arlington Heights, Illinois. This position involves working night shifts and providing critical care for a diverse patient population in a 36-bed ICU, which includes neurological, cardiac, and medical-surgical units. The role offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment requiring strong clinical expertise.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), 2+ years of ICU experience, and experience with EPIC charting.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The ICU environment includes neuro, cardiac, and medical-surgical units with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 2-3 depending on acuity. Orientation occurs on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with six hours of paid orientation scheduled before the start date. Submission requires an updated resume, a skills checklist completed within the past 12 months, and a reference also completed within 12 months. Credentials must be verified prior to orientation.
