Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Highland Park, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized patient care in a high-acuity setting, including ventilator management, arterial lines, and occasional balloon pump procedures. The role offers flexible floating to various units such as Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or step-down units, to support patient needs across the facility. The assignment is scheduled for night shifts with a focus on delivering quality critical care.

Job Details:

• Location: Highland Park, IL
• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, Epic EMR experience, pass a passing EKG test, recent skills checklist, one reference from the past year, and all active certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with strong critical care skills; experience managing ventilators, arterial lines, and balloon pumps is highly advantageous.
• Float: Float to other units including Emergency Department, ICU, or Step-down Units to care for med-surg patients and other facilities.
• Additional Information:
  • Start date: ASAP, within two weeks of offer
  • Orientation scheduled for Monday, with credentials due by Thursday before start
  • Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
  • On-call requirement: Not applicable
  • Weekend and holiday shifts are required on rotation
