Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurses are sought for a healthcare facility located in Waco, Texas. This position involves providing high-level care within a busy ICU setting that includes medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients. Candidates must be flexible to float between critical care service lines such as ICU and step-down units, ensuring comprehensive patient support and adherence to facility protocols.
Job Details:
- Position: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse

- Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift times, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Must have at least two years of experience in an ICU setting; current nursing license; ability to float between ICU and step-down units; Strong clinical skills in managing respiratory distress, sepsis, cardiac events such as CABG, CVA, and complex respiratory failures; familiarity with vent management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, CRRT, STEMI, and related critical care procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vascular access procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiovascular support devices.
- Schedule: Consistent days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Additional Information: Facility fixed notes specify a minimum of two years of ICU experience; the unit cares for complex medical and surgical patients including TAVR, CABG, CVA, and respiratory distress cases. Candidates must be adaptable to respond to high-acuity patient needs and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
