Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) position is located in Canton, Ohio. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity environment. The RN will be responsible for implementing care plans, monitoring patient status, and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the assignment.
Job Details:
Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (CIRH only) prior to first shift. At least one (1) year of bedside clinical experience.
Additional Information: Performs comprehensive assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, develops individualized care plans, and participates in patient education and discharge planning. Responsible for accurate documentation and effective communication regarding patient status updates. Provides supervision and direction for ancillary nursing staff, fosters a positive work environment, and maintains safety protocols in alignment with hospital policies. The ability to prioritize effectively and pursue ongoing professional development is essential.
