This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The position is based in a Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and a stepdown unit, providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and surgical conditions. The role requires candidates to bring their nursing license on the first day.

  • Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross certification, Associate's degree in nursing, 2 years of recent experience in ICU or specialty field
  • Preferred Qualifications: AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in pediatric unit
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours or 48 hours per week
  • Additional Information: Must be willing to float between units and hospitals. Timesheet approver is Lacey Dice, primary and backup. The position is patient-facing and clinical in nature. No remote work is available. Scrub dress code is solid navy. No temporary licenses are accepted.
  • Responsibilities include providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring and post-operative recovery care. The units are supported by a cardiovascular educator, aiming for patient-centered care in a safe environment.
