Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in a location within a 221-bed acute care facility and teaching hospital. This role involves providing direct clinical care to patients on a night shift basis, with a focus on high-quality, safe, and effective nursing practices. The position requires supervision of staff and collaboration with the facilitys chief nursing officer to maintain clinical excellence.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), 1 year of experience in an ICU or similar setting, and the ability to work in the specified location.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital environment and additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are a plus.
Additional Information: The ICU / Critical Care Unit Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and overseeing direct patient care for assigned patients during each shift. Responsibilities include supervising clinical staff to ensure high standards of care, supporting the facilitys chief nursing officer in maintaining patient safety, clinical competency, and optimal resource management.
