Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse is based in the local area and provides specialized critical care to patients with complex health conditions. This role involves delivering high-level patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting recovery, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), BLS (Basic Life Support, AHA), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, AHA), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support, AHA). Active Iowa license or multi-state license required.
• Education and Experience Requirements: 24 months of current ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience required. Valid drivers license required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include caring for patients with ventilators, bipaps, airvo systems, bariatric surgery, and general surgery, managing drips such as propofol, leveophed, diliazem, insulin, and heparin, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Additional requirements include active certification in TNCC, BLS, NIHSS (preferred, may be obtained during onboarding), and experience in electronic medical records (Epic).
• Candidates must have a work history with at least 24 months of recent ICU/Intensive Care experience and be comfortable caring for 25 patients.
• Submission of current resume, professional references, and verified licensure is required for application.
• Applicants should be prepared to work upcoming winter holidays if facilities are open.
