Job Summary An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized critical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations, with a focus on managing complex medical conditions, ventilated patients, and patients requiring specialized procedures such as pressors, sedation, and proning. The position offers rotating day and night shifts based on staffing needs.
Job Details
Certifications: Active MD state license, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering specialized medications (e.g., pressors, sedatives), and utilizing advanced equipment such as vents, CRRT, IABP, and proning therapy.
Experience in managing patient conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, post-cardiac cath, and post-surgical ICU care is necessary.
Preferred qualifications include experience with advanced equipment like CRRT and proning, as well as proficiency in arterial line management, blood product administration, and managing patients on ECMO.
Must be comfortable floating within scope to units including IMC, CSU, and other lower-acuity areas, as required.
No on-call required; staff may be contacted to cover shifts if cancellations occur.
All candidates must be compliant with facility onboarding requirements, including labs within 72 hours of signing and submission of necessary documentation 5 days prior to start.
