Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Belleville, IL, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP.
Details
- Night shift position in the ICU of a 222-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital
- Patient ratio is 1:2
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45–07:15)
- Weekend coverage required on a 3 out of every 6 weeks schedule
- Floating may be required within scope to the IMCU and ICU as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting is done in Epic; experience with Epic is required
- Parking is free
- Scrubs must be navy
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; pending IL license is acceptable at time of consideration
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Proficiency with CRRT/CVVHD and IABP required
- Experience assisting with line insertion and intubation required
- Experience with hypothermia protocols required
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assisting with line insertions and intubations, managing CRRT/CVVHD, operating IABP, and implementing hypothermia protocols
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Former permanent employees of this health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
