Job Summary:
An ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position located in an acute care setting. The role involves collaborating with physicians to develop and implement care plans aimed at restoring patient health, providing bedside nursing care, and executing medical orders. The ICU nurse will delegate tasks, oversee nursing support staff, and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided. This role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and organizational skills to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state licensure; 2 years of ICU experience; comfortable with floating to Emergency Department and step-down units; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); ability to document TCAR, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCR) certification, and Specialty Certification in Critical Care Nursing (SCRN)
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience; neuro surgical experience; open heart experience
• Additional Information: The role requires active collaboration in patient conferences, discharge planning, and mentorship of new staff and students. Candidates should demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
