Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves providing critical care to adult patients within a Level I trauma center environment. The position requires clinical expertise in managing complex patient conditions, bedside procedures, and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver high-quality care during night shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts (from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Licensure in Illinois, minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma/burn ICU, Level I trauma center background, proficiency with Cerner charting system, and experience in managing adult ICU patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, pneumonia, and liver failure.
Float: Float rotation within scope may be required to meet facility needs.
Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend, with a preferred no more than 5 days of RTO. Orientation includes 24 hours of virtual training prior to the assignment start date on 08/31/2026. The facility is a 562-bed acute care hospital with a Level I trauma designation, staffed with interdisciplinary support including respiratory, radiology, and rapid response teams. Candidates must have an active Illinois license and be able to work at least 2 major holidays.
