Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in intensive care unit (ICU) care in Templeton, California. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. The RN will coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient services, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and fostering teamwork within the healthcare team. This role is represented by CNA.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 1900-0730, 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a school of nursing; current RN licensure in California; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor within 6 months of hire; one-year recent acute care RN experience in an operating room or ICU setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record system experience.
- Essential Functions: Assist in patient needs, maintain a quiet and safe environment, work collaboratively with team members, maintain patient and hospital privacy, document clearly and concisely, review medical data, recognize emergency signs, function effectively in emergency situations such as Code Blue, administer medications following hospital policies, contribute to discharge planning, educate patients and staff, participate in staff meetings, and adapt to changing workflows.
- Additional Information: The RN will ensure all patient charge items are properly documented and charged, utilize department resources efficiently, and perform other related duties as assigned.
