Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Location involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level 3 Trauma intensive care environment. The role encompasses managing diverse patient populations including stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical cases, and patients requiring CRRT. This position requires a minimum of two years of recent ICU experience and involves night shifts, with support from a multidisciplinary team including Intensivists, RTs, and hospitalists.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: 12-hour night shifts, with a scheduled minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; two years' recent experience in ICU settings; flexibility to float within ICU holding areas and potentially to other units such as Kenosha; Covid vaccination required.
• Support on the Unit: 1-2 CNAs depending on census; charge nurse with reduced patient assignments; phlebotomy skills required; IV/VAT team participation; resource charge nurse; RT support; hospitalist on-site 24/7; intensivist available from 0700-1900 daily for ICU coverage; EICU available 24/7; OT, PT, and Speech Therapy support as needed.
• Charting System/Equipment: EMR system (Epic); Alaris IV pumps; Pyxis medication dispensing.
• Floating: May float to ICU holding areas or potentially to Kenosha; floating limited to ICU environments.
• Orientation: Neonatal Emergency Orientation (NEO) with two 12-hour shifts of unit orientation.
• Scheduling: Every third weekend rotation, with flexibility for managed time-off approvals. No on-call required; every other holiday worked; shift times of 0700-1900 or 1900-0700.
• Additional Notes: Scrub color is navy blue; free parking is provided.
