Job Summary The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility environment, focusing on critical patient care for complex cases such as trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis. This role requires providing specialized nursing care for adult patients in a fast-paced ICU setting.
Job Details
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; Licensure to submit required.
Education/Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
Location Requirements: Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius and hold a valid drivers license.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Duration: Start date on 10/26/2026, end date on 01/25/2027.
Additional notes: ICU includes 33 beds with an average daily census of 16; patient ratios are 1:2-3.
Responsibilities include titration of cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips; troubleshooting vents and oxygen equipment; monitoring and interpreting strips; and providing care for critically ill adult patients with complex conditions.
RNs are required to hold current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications and must be able to demonstrate competence in care and procedures specific to an ICU environment.
Self-scheduling is available for core staff, with occasional float to PCU or MedSurg units.
One shift of unit-specific orientation is provided; additional RTO requests beyond 7 days within the contract are not approved.
Candidates must be able to quickly respond when called back to work after on-call periods.
