Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves providing care to ICU boarders in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for trauma overflow patients. The RN may also float to the Emergency Department (ED) for ICU holds or to other ICU and Stepdown units based on clinical needs. The position requires assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians, utilizing current nursing principles, theories, and techniques to deliver individualized patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school of nursing; PA Registered Nurse License; Basic Life Support certification; minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or related specialty.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience in the clinical specialty.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The unit operates from Monday 7am to Saturday 7pm, with no Sundays. RN staff will be responsible for caring for ICU boarders in the PACU, and may float to other units such as the ED or Stepdown units as needed. Experience with trauma patients is not mandatory but preferred. Professional education, training, or additional certifications related to nursing specialty may be required by the department.
