Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse position is based in a healthcare facility. This role involves planning, coordinating, and implementing patient care tailored to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals. The ICU nurse ensures delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient care in accordance with organizational standards and mission.

Job Details

• Position Description: Registered Nurse ICU plans and delivers patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units, demonstrating performance aligned with the unit's standards of care, mission, and organizational goals.
• Education and Experience: At least two years of documented ICU experience and/or attendance at an approved ICU training course, including didactic and clinical experiences; basic computer skills; graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licenses and Certifications: Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of California; BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification following American Heart Association guidelines; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification required; PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Certification required within six months of hire; CCRN encouraged.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: The role requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and patient transfers including pulling, lifting, or pushing, with the ability to demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds. Must interpret data reflective of patient status and provide age-appropriate care, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
