Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in Yakima, Washington. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients with complex medical conditions, including respiratory distress, cardiac issues, and post-surgical care. The position requires clinical expertise and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Job Details:
Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); valid license to practice as a registered nurse; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with above and below patient types, chest tubes, wound vacs, dressing changes, monitoring femoral arterial sheaths; additional experience with arterial lines, Impella, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) preferred.
Additional Information: The unit manages both Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Telemetry (Tele) patients regularly. Candidates should be comfortable with drips such as diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, nitro, and heparin. This position involves floating throughout the hospital at ICU level or below. Weekend rotation is every other weekend, and there is no on-call requirement. Scrub color can be any professional color.
