Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse to work in a healthcare facility located in Petaluma, California. This position involves providing comprehensive critical care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The role requires adaptability to floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be available to start on 08/24/2026 and work the specified night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active California license, at least 2 years of experience in ICU, certifications including ACLS and BLS, skills in arterial line management, central line care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and charting in Epic system.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital settings.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Daily census averages 4 patients.
- Willingness to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
- Candidates must submit SSN, DOB, and RTO at the time of submission.
- Two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required during the compliance process and prior to start.
- Must have a valid CA license in hand.
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities nearby the contracted facility. Refusal to float may result in contract termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
- Time spent on required modules averages 16 hours, with over 20 requiring project manager approval. Modules are non-billable and completed pre-start and annually.
