Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Renton, Washington.

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in Renton, Washington. This role involves providing care to critically ill patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and stroke recovery. The position requires recent EPIC electronic health record system experience and a minimum of two years of ICU experience, with a focus on advanced patient management in a 30-bed unit.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; must have EPIC experience within the past 2 years; at least 2 years of ICU experience; current licensure to submit; located within the United States.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titratable drips including Norepinephrine, Vasopressin, Inhalation Epoprostenol, and sedation medication management.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other medical/surgical units as needed.
  • Additional Information: The unit is equipped with vents, Bipap, HFNC; telemetry monitoring available with ability to read strips; no nurse aides on unit; nurse staffing includes resource RNs in addition to the charge RN. The unit has a trauma level of 3 and an in-house cath lab for direct patient transfer. Staff is expected to work every other weekend and holiday shifts as needed; standby shifts may be required during low census periods. Tours are organized by unit leadership with flexibility to accommodate traveler preferences during scheduling. Orientation includes 2-12 hour days, followed by night or day shifts depending on schedule.
