Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse for a bedside patient care position in Ithaca, New York. This role involves providing direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU and intermediate care (IMC) unit, with an emphasis on clinical expertise and adherence to hospital protocols. The position requires flexibility to float to medical-surgical units during periods of low census.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant education, no minimum years of experience required, and the ability to float to medical-surgical units when necessary
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record experience, ICU or acute care experience preferred
• Additional Information: The ICU and IMC units have an average daily census of 8-12 patients, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 for ICU and 1:3 for IMC. The position involves delivering bedside patient care, maintaining documentation per hospital protocols, and working every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
