Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive and holistic care to critically ill patients across a diverse adult and geriatric population. The nurse will execute independently and in collaboration with the healthcare team, adhering to standards and competencies specific to the ICU setting. This role may involve floating to other intensive care units or medical/surgical units to meet staffing needs.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: rotating shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: One (1) or more years of nursing experience; current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC; experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients; interpretation of cardiac rhythms; experience with Impella and balloon pumps; adult and geriatric patient care experience; Epic electronic health record system proficiency; current work history and skills checklist pertinent to ICU nursing; two supervisory references with employment dates listed; must be eligible to work in the USA
  • Preferred Qualifications: Documented experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients, Impella, and balloon pump management
  • Additional Information: The candidate may be required to float to other ICUs (S5 TNICU, S6 MICU, S7 MICU) as well as medical/surgical units if a staffing need arises. RTO requests must be included at the time of submittal; NMH may not honor RTO requests after submission. The role is scheduled to start on 07/20/2026.
