Job Summary ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse located in Fargo. This position involves managing critically ill patients across various units including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and surgical care. The role demands independent patient management, titration of drips, and proficiency in critical care procedures within a level 1 trauma hospital.
Job Details
Certifications, Education, and Experience: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS; minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience in a large hospital (over 250 beds) with level 1 trauma designation; valid RN license; no specific degree requirement noted.
Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday. Every clinician will call daily to confirm their working unit; may float to other critical departments or medical-surgical units as needed, including occasional float to Mississippi units.
Additional Job Information:
Management of 1-3 critically ill patients with varying needs, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and surgical cases.
Responsibilities include titrating vasopressor drips, assisting with bedside procedures such as RSI, line placement, EVD placement, and more, utilizing EPIC electronic medical record system and additional critical care equipment.
Orientation includes 32 hours divided between hospital and unit-specific training, performed over the first week of assignment.
The unit has 32 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
Floating to multiple units within the facility and occasionally to medical-surgical units is required.
Must have experience with titrating vasopressor drips and managing critically ill patients independently.
