Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in the ICU and Emergency Room, utilizing the nursing process and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and hospital policy.
Responsibilities
- Collect data relevant to the patient’s condition and report critical values to the physician in a timely manner.
- Assess appropriate lab and diagnostic data.
- Document findings of physical assessment and identify abnormal findings.
- Develop a plan of care based on patient needs.
- Advocate on behalf of the patient and their families.
- Perform interventions according to patient need and hospital policy.
- Evaluate patient outcomes in relation to goals.
- Float to various units as needed including ICU, CCU, or ED.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Licensure to practice in New York State.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, Moderate Sedation, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU and Emergency Room experience.
- Recent critical care and emergency department experience.
