Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility located in the region. This role involves providing specialized critical care nursing services in a medical ICU setting with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence. The position requires the ability to work night shifts and includes duties related to managing critically ill patients, interpreting EKG strips, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend; scheduled for 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a registered nurse, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, PALS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system; ability to read and interpret EKG strips; willingness to float to sister facilities and MedSurg units; comfortable working in a horseshoe layout ICU; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Additional Information: First to float to sister facilities as well as MedSurg at Woodland; orientation includes 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor; candidates must complete the Dyslexia Screening Exam through Relias within 24-48 hours prior to acceptance; this exam has two attempts, with the second attempt being a retake if needed; candidates with prior completion within the last 12 months are eligible. The ICU generally admits patients with common medical diagnoses; the environment includes a horseshoe layout, with adjacent PACU. The facility has hospitalist or intensivist coverage 24/7, as well as pharmacy support.
