Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located in the immediate area. This assignment involves providing specialized patient care within a medical ICU environment, including managing critical care patients, interpreting EKG strips, and collaborating with hospitalists or intensivists. The role includes handling ICU-specific responsibilities and adhering to hospital protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend required.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license to practice in the state, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, and PALS (American Heart Association) certifications. A minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required. Candidates must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a horseshoe ICU layout is advantageous. Ability to float to sister facilities and MedSurg at Woodland is expected.
• Additional Information:
  • First to float to sister facilities as well as MedSurg at Woodland, with a maximum of 4 patient assignments when floating.
  • Hospital uses Cerner charting system; no BSN required but license to practice must be submitted.
  • The unit has a ratio of 1:1 to 1:2, with RN charge nurse responsibilities including break relief, generally not taking patients.
  • The ICU features a horseshoe layout with adjacent PACU.
  • Good environment for a basic ICU RN traveler.
  • Orientation includes 1-2 days on the floor with a preceptor.
  • Emergency medications and equipment are available 24/7, including pharmacy and RT services.
  • Traveler must work during holidays, rotating with core staff, and may be scheduled for every other weekend.
  • Scrub color is navy, with under shirts navy, white, or black; navy scrub jackets optional.
  • Travel assignment begins on 10/13/2026 and concludes on 01/19/2027, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Relias Dys exam (pass/fail) required prior to acceptance, completed within 24-48 hours of offer. Candidates previously completed the exam within the last 12 months are eligible.
