Job Summary The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse position is located in a healthcare facility in Bakersfield, California. This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients, adhering to established standards of care and the nursing process. The nurse will supervise and direct nursing staff activities, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safe and effective patient care.
Job Details
Schedule: Rotating shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor, ACLS (American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an acute care facility, Impella and Balloon Pump experience.
Responsibilities: Collect data pertinent to patient health, analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues, develop and implement care plans, evaluate patient progress, collaborate with healthcare team and patients, provide education, participate in discharge planning, delegate duties, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Additional Information: The role involves providing direct health information to patients and families, coordinating care with other disciplines, and promoting a safe, caring environment.
