Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is based at a prominent medical center in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a busy ICU setting, following established clinical protocols and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting 08/17/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri or compact state nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, 2 years of ICU experience, proficiency in charting with Epic, and at least 2 years of experience in patient ratio management and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience, community hospital background, and LTAC experience.
  • Additional Information: This ICU serves adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including respiratory failure/ARDS, acute chest pain/cardiac/arrhythmias, stroke, cardiac arrest, multi-organ failure, and sepsis. The unit features advanced equipment such as IV pumps, CRRT/dialysis, ventilators, BIPAP, hemodynamic and invasive monitoring, defibrillators, and crash carts. The floor supports pre- and post-operative cardiac, thoracic, abdominal surgeries, neuro-medicine overflow, transplant, end-of-life care, and organ donation.
