Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position in a high-acuity unit. The role involves providing specialized patient care within a versatile ICU environment, supporting critically ill patients with various diagnoses, including post-operative, vascular, stroke, sepsis, and trauma cases. The position requires adaptability to float between ICU and progressive care unit (PCU) settings, along with competence in managing ventilators, titrations, and remote monitoring.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week from 09/28/2026 to 12/28/2026
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license, ACLS certification, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system, previous travel experience
• Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of ICU experience, experience with Zoll thermaguard cooling systems, ability to read and interpret telemonitor strips, comfort with titrating IV drips including vasoactive and sedative agents
• Duties: Monitoring vital signs, Foley care, bathing, IV pulls, bladder scans, specimen collection, ventilator and respiratory management, patient assessments, supporting telemonitor interpretation
• Shift & Scheduling: 12-hour night shifts, scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM; flexible floating between ICU and PCU; potential for self-scheduling with tech support; staffing includes nurse aides (CNA ratio 1:8), hospitalists or intensivists in-house 7 days a week, respiratory therapists available 24/7, in-room telemonitoring and remote intensivist support
• Additional Information: Charge nurses support the entire unit without assigned patients; team-oriented environment with active involvement in patient care and unit operations; outdoor activities appreciated by staff; orientation provided specific to Unit/Department policies.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Experience: 2 years preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required for eligibility.
