Job Details:
- **Years of Experience Required**: 2 years - **First-timers Accepted**: No - **Certifications Required**: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CPI*, TNCC* - **Skills Required**: - Medical Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure - Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG - Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP) - Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Chronic/Acute Renal failure - Arterial line management - Blood Product Administration - Central line care/management - PICC line management - Starting and maintaining IVs - Continuous IV sedation - Emergency Medications - Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips - CVA/Acute Stroke management - Assist with management of BiPAP and care of ventilated patients - Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) - Respiratory failure, Suctioning (ETT, NT) - Ventilator Management - Infection Prevention - Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE - Phlebotomy - Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)*, Neuro Intensive Care Unit*, Trauma Intensive Care Unit*, Hyperbaric ICU*, eICU (Electronic Intensive Care Unit)* - Titrate IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade*, Fresh tracheostomy*, Pulmonary edema, Embolism*, Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia*, Accessing/Managing Ports* - **Leadership Experience**: Previous Charge Experience Preferred - **Charting System Experience Required**: Epic - **Additional Unit Information**: Strong cardiac knowledge required. - **Licensure**: MO license or compact license; IL license required at time of submittal. Compact must match permanent residence. - **Radius Rule**: No locals accepted within 75 miles. - **Special Equipment**: IV pumps/titration, CRRT/dialysis, Ventilator/BIPAP, hemodynamic/invasive monitoring, Defibrillator/crash cart. - **Floating Requirement**: Will float within service line to ICU units. - **Patient Population**: Adults, Geriatrics - **Preferences**: Trauma Level I Experience Preferred, Trauma Level II Experience Required, Travel Experience Required *Note: Skills and Certifications indicated with an asterisk (*) are specific skills and certifications detailed in the requirements.
