Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing opportunity in a large trauma-focused facility. The position involves providing care to trauma patients, post-cardiac bypass, post-transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and general post-surgical ICU patients. The role requires strict adherence to clinical protocols and a proactive, organized approach to patient management.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications; valid nursing license; at least 2 years of ICU experience; candidates must submit a complete submission packet; no recent time off (RTO) or special scheduling requests; ability to work in a fast-paced trauma environment
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience at large trauma centers, familiarity with new equipment or technology, driven, organized, efficient personality with a positive attitude and engaged approach
Additional Information: Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities is desired. The unit handles trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general ICU patients with procedures including chest tubes and central line management, medication drips, and general ICU care.
