Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week day-shift assignment requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS, and weekend and on-call availability.

Details

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting within a community hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00)
• Weekend shifts required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating to Med Surg within scope required
• Block scheduling accommodated
• Meditech charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK state or compact) required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications required: ACLS, PALS, and BLS
• CPI, ISTAT, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, central and PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, chest tube assistance, HFNC, and ABG interpretation
• Experience managing continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post cardiac surgery care
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization, sheath removal, and VAD management preferred
• CVA/acute stroke management experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to surgical ICU patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Manage patients with acute/chronic renal failure and GI surgical needs
• Utilize IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions
• No RTO restrictions
• Local candidates not considered; must reside outside a 45-mile radius from the facility
• Travel pairs allowed
