Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or a compact state license
• At least 2 years of ICU or similar acute care experience preferred
• Experience in a community hospital setting required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS, and ISTAT
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Ability to work with adult and adolescent patient populations
• Must be comfortable with weekend coverage and on-call expectations
• Compliance requirements completed at submission, including required references
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to ICU patients with complex diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac arrhythmias, DKA, COPD, vascular conditions, and multisystem organ failure
• Perform critical care interventions and support advanced treatments as needed
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips according to patient needs
• Manage central lines, arterial lines, ventilated patients, and blood product administration
• Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and patient monitoring data to guide care decisions
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, suctioning, sedation monitoring, and other ICU procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Adapt to fluctuating patient acuity while maintaining excellent clinical standards
