Description

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ICU/stepdown experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the ICU unit of a 12-bed hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, same as staff nurses, with agency staff floating first
• Holiday rotation required
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred

Requirements

• Active SC RN license or compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications only)
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience required
• First-time travelers accepted if they have prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Social Security number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including management of arterial lines, central lines, and ventilated patients
• Scrub color required is royal blue
• Free parking available onsite
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted for consideration prior to offer, with approval based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
