Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with critical care equipment expertise for a 13-week travel assignment in Bowling Green, KY.

Details

• 16-bed ICU/CCU unit with patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
• Staffing supported by monitor techs, with additional tech support depending on census
• Uses advanced equipment including Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Performs procedures including central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions
• Scheduled for 36 hours weekly on a 7:00 AM-7:00 PM shift
• Floats in rotation with core staffing

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required
• Critical thinking skills and self-motivation required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

• Unit features a mix of day and night shift staff with varying experience levels
• Scrubs required in any color; no denim, capris, or camo allowed
