Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a high acuity respiratory care stepdown unit requiring critical care and trauma/neuro experience with a FL or compact license.

Details

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) in a high acuity Respiratory Care ICU stepdown unit
• Patient ratio of 3:1, with a maximum of 4:1 depending on staffing
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Floating as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Travel pairs will not be considered

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (via AHA), NIHSS (must be in hand at time of consideration)
• Nursing degree must be from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment, including 100% on lethal rhythms
• Must complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to high acuity ICU patients requiring ventilator support
• Preferred experience includes Charge RN, SICU, MICU, Trauma, and Stroke care
• Smoke-free facility
• Locals within a 60-mile radius will be considered at a lower rate than travel pay
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools are not accepted
• Proof of vaccination status required with no declinations allowed
